Biography/Exhibitions

Born in Palermo on August 30th  1962, in 1987 Vasta took her Master Degree in Philosophy at the University of Perugia. Her thesis was Visual Education for the Development of Creative Personality.
In 1997, after living for a few years in the US, Vasta decides to show in Perugia at Palazzo della Penna, together with the artists she was in contact with while in New York.  Between 1999 and 2000 she is in Germany where in the Cistercian Abbey of Marienstatt she realizes the works which will be exhibited at the Bochum Museum. Vasta has lectured for several academic institutions such as the American University of Washington DC, Chautauqua Institution in Buffalo, New York, Cardinal Stritch in Milwaukee and Montana State University in Bozeman. First prize for painting at the Florence International Biennial in 2003, Vasta  has widely exhibited in Italy and abroad.
She is Academic of Merit and member of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Fine Arts Pietro Vannucci in Perugia.

Art through Sustainability Projects

Cantico per un bambino (Canticle for a Child), ceramics, promoted by Kiwanis in collaboration with Bizzirri Ceramic Factory of Città di Castello, sustained the realization of several schools in the Ivory Coast

Table of Silence, ceramic installation in collaboration with Bizzirri Ceramic Factory. Supported by  Leadership Center in Milwaukee, to sustain the realization of a farm in the Ivory Coast.
